Happy Camper

Thad took Will on his first camping trip this weekend! They went to the Talladega National Forest in Alabama with a few other friends (Jamie-aka "God our Father", Emily and Howard). Our friend Jason Carlee and his little boy Grayton also went so Will had a buddy to play with. He had a ball! They went fishing and hiking (Thad did most of the hiking with Will on his shoulders!). He ate hot dogs from the grill and saw lots of wildlife- crawdads, lizards, snakes, toads and even a Water Moccasin. Will managed to wake everyone at the campground on Saturday morning. He was so excited when he woke up in the tent and could hear the birds. He said to Thad, "It's a beautiful day, Daddy!" Thad had to open all of the windows in the tent so that they could see the trees. He was even more excited when he realized that his clothes were right there- in the tent! They were out playing frisbee by 6:30 am. He was filthy and absolutely wiped-out when they got home. I am so grateful that Thad is such a patient and loving father to take a 2 1/2 year old camping. We are truly blessed!
