We have been working on potty training Will this week and surprisingly it has gone very well. The first few days were rough, but we made it through it (along with lots of big boy underwear). He has really impressed us! After just 2 days he was going into the bathroom by himself and going potty. He (of course) has said some funny stuff during this whole process. Here are a few of his funnies:
- He has figured out that when he sits down on his little potty he either needs to point his 'pee-pee' down or learn over so that the tee-tee goes in the potty and not on his underwear. As he was leaning over he looked up at me with big eyes and said, "Mommy! My penis is a circle!!" I guess he had never really looked down before!
- Of course we have been praising him like crazy- high fives, M&M's, ice cream, etc. He loves when we say that we are proud of him. He now believes that EVERYONE is proud of him. When he 'does his business' (as he says) he will look at me with those sweet eyes and say, "Gigi (Gaga, Daddy, Cockeen- fill in the blank) is so proud of Will."
- While sitting on the potty he tooted. He said, "Will tooted. I want to look at it." It is hard to explain to a 2 year old that you can't see toots!!
It is so hard to believe that our sweet baby boy is growing up so fast! He is in his big boy bed, going potty, pulling the chair up to the "food-er-ator" to get his own water, carrying on a conversation on the phone, helping with his baby sister- SLOW DOWN TIME!!
