California!

Before the baby arrived, Thad and I went to California for a week. Our main reason for going was for the National Championship game (I know... Thad is an Auburn grad, but an Alabama fan.) We spent the first few days in Hollywood doing tourist things: a tour of the stars homes (looking through the pictures, I have lots of pictures of beautiful homes, but can't remember who's is who's- I guess that is what you get for going at 32 weeks pregnant! Mush brain!), burgers at In 'N Out, walking down Hollywood Blvd., hot dogs at Pinks (after an hour long wait in line), and just enjoyng being together.

Thad said that this was a sign that Alabama was going to win!! I guess he was right!

Thad with Alabama's star- pretty fitting!

Mid week we took the 2 hour drive to Joshua Tree National Park and met Thad's Aunt and Uncle. It was well worth the drive! An amazing park! The Joshua Trees are so cool and "Seussical". They only grow in this part of the world- it is really an awesome park and not nearly as many people as many other National Parks.

Enjoyng a fire with Tom and Gail at the awesome place where we stayed- Spin and Margie's Desert Hide Away- very secluded and decorated with a fun, eclectic feel!

Back in LA we made a visit to the Getty Museum. Very cool, but a lot of walking for a pregnant girl!! :)

One of Thad's "famous" nature shots!
The boys (Thad and Tom) went to the football game and Gail and I opted for a visit to the spa and watching the game from the comfort of our Bed and Breakfast!! (No pictures of the game... our camera was too bulky to take, but they won!)

On the Santa Monica Pier the day after the game. It was a lot of fun to see all of the Southerners walking around sporting their Alabama and Texas shirts. Sadly, I even caught myself telling a few people "Roll Tide"- It did go against everything I believe, but I got caught up in the spirit of it all!! :)

Putting our feet in the Pacific!! Notice the belly (like you can miss it!!)

Enjoying the sunset in Malibu.
It was in the high 60s the whole time we were there and it was in the teens and snowing at home!! A great way to spend a winter week!!

We really had an amazing trip! Thank you, Tom and Gail for EVERYTHING!!! Thanks also, to Grandmomma, Granddaddy, Gigi and Gaga for watching Will and Annie Gray so that we could go on our trip!
