Thad and I got to go to Auburn this weekend (by ourselves)! We love our children so much, but it was great to have some time away from them and with each other. We were throwing a wedding shower for one of my best friends from Auburn. Jessica was a sorority sister and my roommate for 2 years. We have lots of memories together... KKG formals and parties, lazy days at our apartment, trips to the beach, late nights in Auburn. There are very few memories of my college days that Jess is not a part of. I was so happy to have her as one of my bridesmaids and I am so glad that she has met the perfect man for her. She and Dusty are so happy!

We threw Jess and Dusty a tailgate shower. It was a great time to catch up with old friends and enjoy being in Auburn again. It has changed so much in the years since we left. The campus has gotten so big and there are so many new buildings. When we were there, there was not much parking, now there is none! The students have changed so much, too. Well, at least the girls have. The standard 'going-out' outfit when we were there was black pants and a cute top or sweater. Now, the shorter, the tighter, the lower the cut, the better. It was actually quite amusing to watch these girls and see just how short and tight their outfits were!

One of the things that I love the most about Auburn is game day. We have not been back in so long, I almost forgot how much fun it is. The weather was perfect, the company was wonderful, the food was great... the game... was terrible! I am glad that we decided to stay and tailgate instead of seeing my tigers get beat by those hogs! Sitting around and visiting with old friends was much more fun than the actual game. War Eagle anyway!
Thanks to Jess for the rest of these pics!
