Fun day with Will

Will and I got to spend the day together yesterday. Thad and Annie Gray were not feeling well, so Will and I left them at home and went out for a day of fun! We went to church together which was so special. We are usually rushing to get to Sunday School on time, but yesterday we were a little early. He held my hand the whole way from the parking lot to his classroom. This never happens! He is always so silly and busy and doesn't seem to have time for mommy anymore. It made my heart smile walking hand-in-hand with him.

Later in the day we went to the first of 2 birthday parties! Will's sweet friend Elizabeth Matthews was turning 3 and she had a pony party! Will was so excited that he got to dress up like a cowboy for the party (complete with Sheriff badge and lasso!) There were bunnies for the kids to feed and pet and two ponies to take rides on! I was afraid that he would not want to ride, but he had no problem and hopped right on the pony. He even fell off of one of them after it bucked and he told me he didn't want to ride that one anymore, but that he wanted to ride the other one. Susan did a great job of organizing a fun party for Elizabeth- Thank you! We had a great time!

After Elizabeth's party we headed across town to Lewis Park for Elle LaSota's 4th birthday party. Jennifer also did a great job of making a special Fall Festival birthday party. There was bobbing for apples, wagon rides, cupcakes and popcorn. The kids were dressed up in their Halloween costumes and were precious! Matthew was the cutest shark I have ever seen and Elle's costume was a beautiful mermaid (I can't imagine who made it! :) We had a great time playing on the playground and meeting new friends. I am so glad that I have reconnected with these two special women (Susan Haverly Matthews and Jennifer Park LaSota) and I look forward to our kids sharing many more memories together.

After birthday partying we headed downtown to Clyde's house for dinner. Aunt Kate was in town and it was a great time to spend with her, Clyde and my parents. We made a fire in Clyde's fire pit and sat outside enjoying a beautiful, cold, fall evening. After a delicious dinner of burgers we roasted marshmallows and made smores! Will was not so fond of the smores, but he liked the marshmallows and chocolate separate!

When we finally left Clyde's Will was exhausted. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful, sweet, smart, healthy little boy. It makes me sad to see how quickly he is growing up, but I am also so excited to see what the Lord has planned for his life.

I love you Will! You make me so happy and proud to be your mommy every day!

I'm crying now...I love that precious boy too. I can't believe how big he is getting. I miss him and AG so much and hate that I'm not there to see them everyday! I hope they know how much their Aunt's love them.

Love it! He is a trooper, that Will and so sweet. I love the look on Elizabeth's face when he hugged her. Priceless.
