We had a little scare Thursday night... Will pulled a scrap piece of our new countertops down onto his foot. It landed on his big toe and there was a lot of blood! He was so brave! We took him to the Emergency Room (the ER is a whole new blog that I won't get into... some people think that universal healthcare is a good idea!!! UGHH!!) After a 2 hour wait and a few X-rays we got to see a doctor. Will was laying in that big hospital bed and kept yelling, "Hey! What's the big idea?" We really were so proud of him- he is one tough boy! To our surprise-no stitches! (Thad was a little disappointed- he was kind of looking forward to Will's first stitches!) It took most of the nail off of his toe and a big chunk of skin. He has been hobbling around but it looks much better! Great Job Will!!

After all of the toe excitement we headed to North Georgia... What a fun time we had in the mountains! We spent the weekend with Gigi and Gaga and the Kilgo's. After the rain on Friday rolled through it was absolutely beautiful. The leaves were at their peak and the temperature was perfect! On Saturday, Will, Daddy, Gaga, Matt, and Patrick played in the creek, threw rocks and went to visit the waterfall. We ate (A LOT), drank and were merry! We even moved the TV outside to watch the UGA/LSU and UA/TN games (Thad was a happy man after another Alabama win!). We all went on a little nature walk on Sunday and looked at all of the beautiful leaves. We are so lucky to have a place to visit in such a beautiful setting that is only an hour and a half away! Thanks Gigi and Gaga!

What a tough boy!!! I'm so sorry about his injury. It sounds like he was on to bigger and better things, hiking in the mountains. That toe didn't slow him down! sweet boy.
He's such a tough little man! I'm so proud of him! (Maybe I can get him some new pjs for Christmas - those look a little small)
Looks like y'all had a great time in the mountains - can't wait till Thanksgiving!!
